Breast cancer drug could beat the ‘Jolie gene’ – The Times

Chai’s Chief Executive, Lisa Steele, said: “We are so encouraged to learn of this very exciting breakthrough in the treatment of early breast cancer for women carrying a BRCA mutation. A major trial of revolutionary drug, Olaparib reduced the risk of cancer recurrence by 42%. The drug is not yet available on the NHS but it is hoped that it will be approved as soon as possible.”
