#9292 Challenge in aid of Chai and North London Hospice

With just 8 minutes to spare, Josh Caplin, his father, Bob and brother in-law, Stephen Goldman visited all the 92 English football league clubs in 92 hours. Dedicated to their beloved mum and wife Roz Caplin, they completed the challenge on her 10th Yartzeit on Thursday 27th February.

Against all odds, battling snow, wind and ice they covered 2,600 miles in 92 hours leaving little time to rest. Having initially scheduling stops for sleeping the men soon realised this ‘luxury’ was not possible. A few hurdles along the way such as a failed gear box, road closures and vehicle swap pushed them to their limit. It was the men’s belief in the cause, resilience and determination that truly carried them through.

“We are raising funds for Chai Cancer Care and North London Hospice, both of which were so supportive during Mum’s illness. Our goal was £9,200 so we are thrilled that this has almost doubled, raising £18,000.”

For Chai, the funds will go towards the ‘Image Resource Service’ in their flagship centre in Hendon. This inviting and light filled room provides a dedicated space where clients can address sensitive image issues following cancer surgery and treatment. Clients get specialist and practical advice on hair loss, wigs, underwear, nail care and semi-permanent makeup.
