Fundraise for Chai
Fundraisers are the lifeline of Chai. With a daunting annual budget of £3.3m, every service we provide is only possible thanks to the donations we receive. As the number of diagnoses rises, and people live with the effects of cancer for longer, so the need for our services grows. Please help us ensure that we can be there for everyone who needs us.
There are many ways to raise these vital funds and every amount – large or small – is greatly appreciated. A good way to start – and to stay motivated – is to involve family, friends, work colleagues and peers in your idea.
We have a dedicated fundraising team who are happy to offer ideas, support and guidance to help you in your fundraising efforts.
Here are some ideas to get you started…
Host an event in aid of Chai
Run your own event to raise money for Chai. Whether you choose a bake sale, comedy evening, bridge competition or quiz night – we are happy to offer our support to ensure your event runs smoothly and raises much needed funds.
Attend a Chai event
We run a series of fundraising events throughout the year across the country. You may also want to host a table at one of the Chai Dinners in London (Annual) or Manchester (Biennial).
In addition to our range of exciting Challenge Events, you may want to ask your family and friends to sponsor you to do something daring, crazy or fun in aid of Chai – whether its a sponsored silence or haircut…let your creativity run wild! Many choose to dedicate their fundraising to a relative or friend because of the support they have received from Chai.
Our dedicated fundraising platform forChai makes it so easy to set up a fundraising page so people can sponsor you. We recommend this platform, as it takes no fee so more of your money reaches Chai’s clients.
Post on your page why you’re doing the challenge and use it to keep supporters up to date with your progress as you near your all-important goal. We can offer you tips on maximising your fundraising results, using your networks and social media.
Get your school involved
We have partnered with primary and secondary schools across the country to raise vital funds for our Chai in Schools project. We would be delighted to visit your school to tell you more about the work of Chai, as well as encourage pupils to get involved in fundraising activities such as our annual Mad Hair Day event.
We have a small range of exclusive Chai branded merchandise including stationery, cookbooks, tote bags and more available at our flagship centre in Hendon, with all profits going to Chai.
