Run in collaboration with the Royal Feel Hampstead NHS Trust and Marie Curie Cancer Care, this groundbreaking service provides a multi-disciplinary, rehabilitative approach to cancer support care.

Integrating conventional medicine, complementary and talking therapies, the service is led by a Consultant in Palliative Care Medicine.

Patients can be seen for:

– Uncontrolled symptoms of either the cancer or the side-effects of treatment
– Pain management
– Information about choices of treatment
– Difficulty in adapting to physical changes
– Advance care planning

As well as accessing suitable therapies, Chai’s physiotherapists can develop individualised rehabilitation programmes to help build clients’ fitness and physical confidence. Sessions take place in Chai’s purpose-built gyms (in our Hendon or North Manchester centres) or can be done in the client’s home.

Transport to and from the clinic in Hendon can be provided. Appointments for therapies, counselling and advisory services can be arranged for patients and carers on the same day.

No therapy is undertaken without the approval client’s medical team and Chai can liaise with surgeons, oncologists and GPs to ensure seamless care for the client.
