#Twopointsixchallenge across all generations in aid of Chai

Last year our dedicated supporters ran the London Marathon raising almost £30,000 for Chai. This year due to Covid-19 the marathon which should have taken place on the 26th April was postponed. So, the 2.6 challenge was created as a fantastic fundraising idea to raise money for UK charities who had lost out on essential funding.

To take part in the 2.6 challenge you had to dream up an activity associated with the numbers 26 and donate to your chosen charity. We are so proud of our loyal #HomeHeroes who took part in the 2.6 challenge, raising over £12,500- and counting in aid of Chai.

More than 50 people got involved ranging from an 8-month-old baby up until the age of 89, all within social distancing guidelines! From baking 26 cakes, to 2.6-mile bike ride, 26-minute home workouts and more, the variety of creative, exciting and exhausting challenges were amazing. Many told us how much they enjoyed the day too, especially those who ‘connected’ virtually with family members that they were currently unable to see in person.

Chai salutes all our committed supporters whose generosity enables us to continue to provide our big C of Care to all those who turn to us.
