On Wednesday, 7th May 50 guests gathered in the beautiful home of Michelle and Ben Sallon for a fantastic wellbeing event in aid of Chai. The event featured Chai Nutritional Therapist and author of ‘How Can I Help You?’, Susan Fruhman in an engaging conversation with celebrated Manchester-based caterer, Simone Pinkus.
The evening provided an opportunity to gain practical dietary tips from Susan’s cookbook and learn first-hand how small changes in nutrition can make a significant impact on long-term health. Susan shared invaluable advice on the role of nutrition in overall wellbeing, particularly for those who are unwell, too tired to cook or in need of support.
Throughout the evening, guests were treated to a selection of Susan’s delicious and nutritious recipes. This was followed by a fun Q & A session. Michelle Sallon spoke emotively about her late aunt and dedicated the event in her memory.
Gerry Singer, Chai’s North West Head of Operations, said: “Our heartfelt thanks to Susan, Simone and of course Michelle and Ben Sallon for opening their home to host such a special evening. It was a wonderful opportunity for our guests to learn, connect and hear more about Chai’s vital work.”
‘How Can I Help You’ is not just a cookbook of delicious recipes for cancer patients. It is invaluable for any household, with a chapter on healthy essentials relevant to us all. 100% of proceeds from ‘How Can I Help You?’ goes to Chai.
