On Wednesday 24th May, Craig Tracey MP and Nicola Richards MP, Chair and Vice Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Breast Cancer, visited Chai’s Flagship centre in Hendon.
The visit, facilitated by the Jewish Leadership Council (JLC), included a guided tour of Chai’s Flagship centre in Hendon to see some of Chai’s 67 specialised support services first hand. The MP’s were also joined by Dr Adrian Tookman, Chai Trustee and Chaiman of Chai’s Medical Advisory Panel.
Following the visit, Nicola Richards MP said: “It was a pleasure to join my colleague Craig Tracey MP and Marc Levy of the JLC to visit Chai Cancer Care. It was a fantastic opportunity to speak with their team of dedicated professionals. Chai Cancer Care have developed a blueprint for how to best support those affected by cancer. As Vice Chair of the APPG on Breast Cancer, I will take away a lot of lessons from Chai’s approach.”
Chai Chairman, Louise Hager said: “We were delighted to welcome Craig and Nicola to our flagship centre. They were both impressed that Chai’s support extends not only to the patient but also to their family members, work colleagues and friends. It was extremely heartening to hear their commitment to improving services for all those affected by a cancer diagnosis and we look forward to continuing this important conversation.”
