Not content with completing a five-day 270km Lapland challenge in April, long-term Chai supporter and avid challenger Coby Bull hosted ‘Lapland by Sled’ – an Art Exhibition at Chai’s flagship centre in Hendon on Sunday 10th July.
The exhibition showcased over 40 curated and framed black and white prints of images that Coby shot himself whilst on the challenge.
Each specially selected image told a story from his arduous and deeply personal challenge. From the minus 20 degrees to the treacherous ice and snow that makes up the winter landscape of Lapland.
Over 80 guests attended the art exhibition which helped push the grand total raised to just over £23,000 which will go towards Chai’s vital services.
Coby explains: “this was one of the most gruelling challenges of my life. I crossed Lapland by Sled in honour of my grandmother Daniele who is currently suffering with cancer. I never expected to raise as much money as I did for such a worthy cause.”
Danni Blumenblatt, Chai’s Community & Corporate Fundraiser said: “It was wonderful to work with Coby on his fantastic fundraiser. The Lapland challenge was a great achievement for Coby, as well as being mentally demanding, it was a gruelling few days due to the weather and elements that he faced. Everyone at Chai is overwhelmed by the support shown for his fundraiser.
Special thanks must go to Cask Trade and Joel & Sons for their wonderfully generous support of Coby and his intrepid challenge.
