Project ImpACT has supported Chai with lots of different initiatives over the years from bag packing to challah braiding and this year was no different. On Sunday 23rd March and Sunday 3rd April, two groups of teenage volunteers were invited into Chai’s flagship centre in Hendon to make up and package Pesach boxes to be given out to children supported by Chai and their siblings to enjoy at their Seder tables.
During both sessions, the volunteers were given a tour of Chai’s facilities including the Children’s Play Therapy rooms and the Teenage Resource Centre. They then set about making up and packing 100 boxes of goodies including Seder games, trivia cards and toys. Each box was hand finished with a written Pesach message for the recipient.
Community Relationship Manager Caroline Tunkel said: “We had two fantastic sessions with Project ImpACT and we are thrilled to have had the chance to once again show their teenage volunteers around the centre so they could see first-hand the work we do at Chai. We know the boxes will bring smiles to many Seder tables this year.”
